A1 Evo 1-click Optimization tool for home cinema systems with Audyssey®Nexus 1.5

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. You will need to have Room EQ Wizard (v5.40 Beta) installed on your computer
    • You can download the latest REW Beta version here: here
  2. For advanced tips and a deeper dive into immersive audio, check out the 'Obsessive Compulsive Audiophile' YouTube channel: here
  3. Click 'Upload sample calibration' below to browse to an Audyssey calibration file (.ady) that has the same speaker configuration as your current set up
  1. Haven't measured your speakers with REW yet? Click one of the buttons above to create a 'REW measurement mode' ady file and transfer it to your AVR
  2. The calibration file will reset certain settings on your AV receiver and configure it for correctly measuring your system with REW
  3. You'll need a microphone with its custom calibration file and an HDMI cable from your computer to your receiver
  4. Next, measure all your speakers and subwoofer(s) by using the included Dolby Atmos REW sweeps. You can optionally do so with Dynamic EQ enabled
  5. REW has capacity for storing up to 500 different measurements at as many different mic positions as you like
  6. Ensure your measurements in REW are named correctly and there's only one measurement for each speaker/subwoofer in your system at the end.
  7. Check this dropdown list for a complete list of allowed speaker/subwoofer names in alphabetical order:
  8. Save your measurements and upload REW one of the included target curves of your choice before running the optimization
  9. In REW, go to Preferences > API > Start server
  10. For a smooth optimization process: Keep REW on the 'SPL & Phase' tab and close any open child windows
  11. Running optimization multiple times? In REW, 'Save all', 'Remove all' and 'Open' saved measurements before each run
  12. When all is set, click the 'Optimize calibration' button below and sit back and relax. Your home cinema will be 'transformed' within minutes!
